The order dated 24‑09‑2025 is modified to read the petitioner as a man and to extend the surrender period by four weeks.

Summary

The petitioner, Kajal Saha, filed a modification petition before the Patna High Court seeking correction of a clerical error that mistakenly identified him as a woman in an earlier order dated 24‑09‑2025. He also requested an extension of four weeks to surrender and furnish bail bonds in connection with Araria (Bairgachhi) P.S. Case No. 48 of 2020. The State’s Additional Public Prosecutor did not oppose these requests. The Court held that the reference to the petitioner should be read as a man and granted the four‑week extension for surrender. Consequently, the earlier order was modified accordingly and the modification petition was disposed of.

Issues considered

  • Whether the reference to the petitioner should be corrected from ‘lady’ to ‘man’ in the earlier order
