Holding

The court granted bail to the petitioner on furnishing a bail bond of Rs.10,000 with two sureties.

Summary

Harendra Rai, a resident of Jamuniya village in East Champaran, was arrested in connection with a land dispute that resulted in grievous injury to Naveen Kumar. He was charged under multiple sections of the B.N.S., 2023, including sections 191(2), 191(3), 190, 126(2), 115(2), 118(1), 109, 76 and 352. The petitioner, claiming a clean antecedent and having been in custody since 11 September 2025, applied for bail, while the informant opposed the relief. The court considered the period of custody and the nature of the allegations and decided to grant bail on the condition of a Rs.10,000 bond with two sureties of equal amount. The order was pronounced by Justice Prabhat Kumar Singh.
