BAIL REJECTED

Holding

Anticipatory bail was refused.

Summary

The petitioner, Ranjit Kumar, was implicated in a kidnapping case registered under Section 140(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita after a victim's statement recorded under Section 183 BNSS named him as one of the kidnappers. The petitioner applied for anticipatory bail, fearing arrest. The court examined the seriousness of the alleged offence and the victim's recorded statement. Considering the gravity of the kidnapping charge and the corroborative statement, the court found no sufficient ground to grant anticipatory bail. Consequently, the petition for anticipatory bail was rejected.
