Summary

Manoj Pandey filed a civil writ petition before the Patna High Court seeking relief against the State of Bihar and several officials. During the pendency of the petition, the petitioner claimed that his grievances had been fully redressed. He consequently moved the court to withdraw the writ application. The court examined the petitioner's request and noted that the relief sought was no longer required. Accordingly, the court dismissed the writ petition as withdrawn and held it to be infructuous, while informing the petitioner that he could approach another appropriate forum if he remained aggrieved.
