The Court held that the judgment of 26‑09‑2024 had been complied with in letter and spirit, and therefore no contempt had occurred.

Summary

Petitioner Virendra Tiwari filed a contempt application alleging that the State officials willfully disobeyed the High Court's judgment dated 26 September 2024 in Civil Writ Jurisdiction Case No.14689 of 2024. The State filed a show‑cause response, submitting that the District Land Acquisition Officer had issued a reasoned order on 29 April 2025 disposing of the petitioner's representation of 8 November 2024. The Court examined the show‑cause and the annexed order and found that the earlier judgment had been complied with both in letter and spirit. Consequently, the Court held that there was no contempt. The contempt proceeding was therefore dismissed and the matter was disposed of.
