Holding

The contempt petition is disposed of, with liberty granted to the petitioner to challenge the order before the appropriate forum.

Summary

Mahendra Paswan filed a contempt petition against the State of Bihar and several officials of the Public Health Engineering Department. The petitioner alleged that the order passed in contempt had been complied with by disposing of his representation and rejecting his claim. He sought liberty to challenge that disposal in a suitable forum. The court, after hearing counsel, noted the petitioner's submission and observed that the matter could be pursued further if the petitioner files an appropriate representation. Consequently, the contempt petition was disposed of, but the petitioner was granted liberty to approach the appropriate forum for challenge.
