Holding

The Court held that the contempt order had been complied with and therefore the application was disposed.

Summary

The petitioner, Narendra Narayan Prasad, filed an application alleging that a contempt order issued by the learned Writ Court required the State of Bihar and Kameshwar Singh Darbhanga Sanskrit University to pay him Rs.6,23,073, which he claimed had not been complied with. The opposite parties produced a letter dated 23 June 2026 from the University indicating that the said amount had already been credited to the petitioner's account. The Court examined the submission and the letter, finding that the contempt order had indeed been satisfied. Consequently, the Court held that no further directions were necessary. The application was therefore disposed of, with the Court indicating that the petitioner could approach the appropriate forum if he remained dissatisfied.
