Holding

The petition was dismissed as there was no contempt committed by the respondents.

Summary

Rohit Kumar filed a contempt petition before the Patna High Court challenging actions of several State officials. The petition arose from an earlier order dated 18‑06‑2018 in CWJC No.3882 of 2018, after which the District Magistrate issued a reasoned order (Memo No.773 dated 01‑02‑2022). The Court examined whether the respondents had committed contempt of its earlier direction. Finding that the District Magistrate’s order complied with the Court’s mandate, the bench held that there was no ground for contempt. Consequently, the contempt petition was disposed, with the Court allowing the petitioner to seek any further remedy if advised. The order was pronounced by Justice Ajit Kumar on 19‑02‑2026.
