Summary

Rambriksh Prasad Verma filed a contempt petition against the State of Bihar, the District Magistrate of Gaya, and the Gaya Municipal Commissioner, alleging non‑payment of his retiral benefits. The Municipal Commissioner submitted a show‑cause response indicating that the petitioner had been paid his retiral benefits in accordance with law and that the contempt order had been complied with. The court examined the statements in paragraphs 4‑8 of the show‑cause and found that the required compliance had indeed occurred. The court noted that if the petitioner remained aggrieved, he could pursue any appropriate remedy. Consequently, the contempt petition was consigned, effectively dismissing it.
