Holding

The contempt application was dismissed as the order had been complied with and the parties had compromised.

Summary

Aradhana Giri filed a contempt application against her husband, Anuj Pal Goswami, alleging violation of an order dated 08‑04‑2024 in Criminal Miscellaneous No.17926 of 2024. While the contempt proceeding was pending, the parties obtained a mutual‑consent divorce and the husband withdrew all pending cases against the petitioner. The petitioner further indicated she would not oppose the quashing applications she had filed, as the parties had settled all disputes. The court observed that the order of 08‑04‑2024 had been complied with and that continuing the contempt proceeding would serve no useful purpose. Consequently, the contempt application was dismissed.
