Janardan Singh @ Janardan Prasad SinghversusMr. Dipak Kumar Singh, The Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Revenue and Land Reforms,

Decided
Disposal
DISPOSED

Holding

The Court held that the respondents had complied with the earlier order, and therefore the contempt application was dismissed.

Summary

The petitioners, three brothers, filed a contempt application alleging that the Circle Officer (Respondent No.6) had failed to comply with a September 30, 2024 order of this Court directing him to consider and dispose of an online grievance (ID 20243202006375) within two months. The State filed a show‑cause response asserting that the order had been complied with. The Court examined the show‑cause submission and found that the respondents had indeed complied with the earlier direction. Consequently, the Court held that there was no contempt. The contempt petition was therefore disposed of.

Issues considered

  • Did the respondents comply with the order dated 30‑09‑2024 directing disposal of the grievance within two months?
