The petition for parole leave was rejected.
Summary
The petitioner, Naranbhai Bhothabhai Chauhan, filed a Special Criminal Application seeking parole leave from the State of Gujarat. The jail records showed that the petitioner had already been released for a brief period from 24 May 2026 to 6 June 2026. The application did not provide any justifiable reasons for granting further parole. The Court examined the jail remarks and found that no case was made out in favor of the petitioner. Consequently, the Court rejected the parole application. The order was directed to be communicated to the concerned jail authority.
Issues considered
- Whether the petitioner is entitled to parole leave despite a recent short release and lack of justification.
