SABANABANU W/O ANWARBEG MIRZA THRO SHIRINBANU AZRUDIN SHEIKHversusSTATE OF GUJARAT

Disposal
53-ALLOWED / GRANTED @ ADM.STAGE

Holding

The petition for parole leave is rejected as the convict had been recently released and no sufficient cause was shown.

Summary

Sabanabanu, sister of the petitioner, filed a special criminal application seeking 30 days of parole leave for the convict to provide medical treatment to his son. The jail records showed that the convict had been released from custody on 25 January 2026 and again on 14 February 2026. The court noted that the recent release negated any necessity for parole. Consequently, the petition was rejected. The order was directed to be communicated to the jail authority.
