RAVINDRA BABURAO KARADversusTHE STATE OF MAHARASHTRA AND OTHERS

Disposal
DISPOSED OFF

Holding

The application was dismissed as infructuous because the applicant was not charge‑sheeted.

Summary

The applicant, Ravindra Baburao Karad, filed a criminal application challenging FIR No. 235/2025 registered for alleged offences under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. Notices were issued to the respondents on 14 August 2025. While the application was pending, the investigating agency filed a charge‑sheet, and the applicant’s name was omitted from the list of accused. The court observed that since the applicant was not charge‑sheeted, the relief sought in the application could no longer arise. Consequently, the application was held to be infructuous and was disposed of without any further order.
