Bombay High Court

LOGANATHAN MUTHUKUMARANversusSTATE OF MAHARASHTRA

Decided
Disposal
Disposed off as Withdrawn

Holding

The Court permitted the withdrawal of the bail application, disposing of it as withdrawn.

Summary

The applicant, Loganathan Muthukumaran, filed a bail application before the Bombay High Court. During the hearing, counsel for the applicant, Mr. Karthik Rajasekhar (with Arif Sayed), sought permission to withdraw the bail application, requesting liberty to file a fresh application after one year if the trial does not progress substantially. The Court, after hearing arguments, was not inclined to grant bail at that stage but allowed the withdrawal of the present application with the specified liberty. No substantive discussion on the merits of bail was undertaken. Consequently, the bail application was disposed of as withdrawn.
