Summary

The State of Maharashtra, represented by the Collector of Jalna, filed a civil application seeking condonation of a delay of 866 days in filing an appeal against a decree. The respondents, Thakubai Bhujangrao Huse and others, opposed the application. The applicant argued that the delay was due to administrative reasons, which were detailed in the application. The learned Judge examined the reasons and found them satisfactory. Consequently, the Court allowed the application, condoning the 866‑day delay and directing that the first appeal be registered subject to removal of any office objections.
