SHRI LALAGI PASU GALA (DECD) THROUGH LRS. AND ANRversusM/S. RACHANA ASSOCIATES AND ORS

Decided

Disposed Off

Holding

The contempt petition was dismissed as there was nothing left to adjudicate.

Summary

The petitioners filed a contempt petition alleging that the respondents had failed to comply with a court order dated 22 August 2013. The respondents contended that they had regularized the shops under municipal law, paid Rs.5,00,000 as a condition for withdrawing the petition, and executed a settlement agreement on 3 July 2015. The court examined the settlement and the payment and found that the alleged non‑compliance no longer existed. Consequently, the court held that nothing remained to be adjudicated in the contempt petition. The petition was therefore disposed of.
