Holding

The court allowed the correction of the respondent's description in the judgment.

Summary

The Union of India appealed a civil matter and sought to correct the description of Respondent No.2 in the judgment dated 30 April 2026, which mistakenly listed the party as ‘M/s. Mira Salt Work Company’ instead of ‘M/s. Mira Real Estate Developer’. The appellant filed a motion on 27 July 2026 requesting leave to amend the cause title. The court noted that the appellant had been granted liberty to amend the title but had not done so. The appellant apologized for the oversight and renewed the request for correction. The court granted leave, ordered the correction, and dispensed with re‑verification as the appeal had already been decided. The corrected judgment was to be uploaded.

                        1. This is a motion dated 27th July, 2026 tendered by the Appellant-

Union of India in the Appeal, for speaking to the minutes of the judgment

dated 30th April, 2026 on the ground that the description of Respondent No.2 in

the judgment is mentioned as ‘M/s. Mira Salt Work Company’ instead of ‘M/s.

                        Mira Real Estate Developer’.

                        2. We have perused the cause title of the Appeal filed by the

Appellant-Union of India. Respondent No.2 is arrayed in the Appeal as

‘M/s. Mira Salt Work Company’. Though liberty was granted to the Appellant-

Union of India to amend the cause title and correct the name as ‘M/s. Mira Real

Estate Developer’, it failed to carry out the amendment.

3. In view of the above, the learned Advocate for the Appellant-

Union of India, apologetically submits that this is a mistake on the part of the

Appellant-Union of India and prays for leave to correct the description of

Respondent No.2, today.

4. Leave is granted. Correction be carried out forthwith. Since the

Appeal has been decided and disposed off, re-verification is dispensed with.

5. In view of the above, the description of Respondent No.2 in the

judgment dated 30th April, 2026 shall be corrected as ‘M/s. Mira Real Estate
