DISPOSED OFF

Holding

The appeal is disposed of as the parties have amicably settled the dispute through a joint compromise approved by the Lok Adalat.

Summary

The appellant, Soyeb Qureshi, appealed against respondents Feroz Khan and an insurance company regarding a compensation dispute. Both parties appeared before the National Lok Adalat at the Bombay High Court, Aurangabad bench, and submitted a joint compromise agreement. The Lok Adalat, under Section 19 of the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987, accepted the settlement and ordered the insurance company to pay Rs. 2,60,000 within four weeks. The court disposed of the first appeal and any related civil application, directing a refund of any court fees paid. The matter was thus resolved through amicable settlement without further litigation.
