The writ petition is to be listed for final disposal on 2 April 2026, and the interim application is disposed of.

Summary

The Indian Red Cross Society, Nashik District Branch filed an interim application seeking an early date of hearing for its writ petition against the State of Maharashtra and others, alleging that the grant it was receiving had been stopped, creating urgency. The applicant’s counsel requested deletion of paragraph 2 of the memorandum, and the court granted leave to amend the application accordingly. Relying on the urgency highlighted, the court ordered that the writ petition be listed for final disposal on 2 April 2026. The court also noted that the rule for the main petition had been issued on 12 December 2024. Consequently, the interim application was disposed of.
