The Court ordered the institution to submit a proposal for the petitioner’s absorption as a full‑time lecturer and directed the Deputy Director of Education to decide it within two weeks, thereby allowing the writ petition.

Summary

The petitioner, Lata Mahadev Jadhav, a part‑time lecturer, filed a writ petition seeking conversion to a full‑time position in a government‑aided educational institution. The respondents, including the State of Maharashtra and the managing body of the institution, were directed to prepare a proposal for the petitioner’s absorption as a full‑time lecturer. The Court ordered that the proposal be submitted to the Deputy Director of Education within two weeks, and that the Deputy Director decide on it within another two weeks, failing which he would be personally liable. The Court further empowered the petitioner to approach the Court if any delay occurs. Accordingly, the writ petition was allowed and the matter disposed of.
