Holding

The Court held that respondent No.4 must complete the inquiry and submit the report to respondent No.2 within ten weeks.

Summary

The petitioners filed a complaint on 11 February 2025 alleging corruption and requested respondent No.2 to investigate. Respondent No.2, by order dated 28 August 2025, constituted a committee, with respondent No.4 as a member, to conduct the inquiry. The petitioners claimed that the inquiry remained incomplete and the report had not been submitted. Both sides waived notice, and the respondent assured that the report would be filed within ten weeks. The Court, after hearing counsel, directed respondent No.4 to complete the inquiry and submit the report to respondent No.2 within ten weeks, thereby disposing of the writ petition.
