BALASAHEB HARIBHAU BHOSALE AND OTHERSversusTHE STATE OF MAHARASHTRA AND OTHERS

Disposal
DISPOSED OFF

Holding

The High Court may direct the respondent to decide the pending revision application within a specified period of four months.

Summary

The petitioners filed a writ petition seeking a direction to the State of Maharashtra to decide Revision Application No. 14 of 2025 within a fixed period. The respondents waived service of notice and produced a communication (Exhibit X) requesting a four‑month period to decide the revision. The Court considered the request and the waiver, and found no legal impediment to imposing a time‑frame. Accordingly, the Court disposed of the writ petition by directing the respondent to decide the revision application within four months from the date of the order. The order provides a procedural direction without addressing any substantive merits of the revision application.
