Bombay High Court

RAMDAS TUKARAM DHOKANEversusTHE STATE OF MAHARASHTRA AND OTHERS

Disposal
DISPOSED OFF

Holding

The petition is dismissed as the suit is already posted for orders.

Summary

Ramdas Tukaram Dhokane filed a writ petition challenging actions of the State of Maharashtra and other respondents. During the pendency of the petition, the substantive suit related to the same matter was closed for evidence and posted for arguments. The respondent State's counsel informed the court that the suit had been posted for arguments, and the counsel for respondents No.2 and No.4 stated that arguments were concluded and the suit was now posted for orders. The petitioner sought relief despite the suit being at the final stage. The Court observed that since the suit was already posted for orders, there was no merit in entertaining the writ petition and consequently disposed of it.
