JANKA NIVRUTTIRAO SHERIKARversusRAJUBAI ABHIMANYU BITE AND OTHERS
- Disposal
- DISPOSED OFF
Holding
The petition is dismissed as infructuous because the recruitment process is complete and the petitioner has crossed the age limit.
Summary
The petitioner, Janka Nivruttirao Sherikar, filed a writ petition challenging the recruitment process for the post of Anganwadi Supervisor advertised on 7 April 2015. The respondents informed the court that the recruitment had been completed, an appointment had been made, and the petitioner had now exceeded the age limit for appointment. On this basis, the respondents argued that the petition was no longer maintainable. The court examined whether the petition could still be entertained given the completion of the process and the petitioner’s age. Concluding that the petition could not be pursued, the court held it to be infructuous and disposed of it. The petition was therefore dismissed as moot.
