DISPOSED OFF

Holding

The Court directed the Schedule Tribe Certificate Scrutiny Committee to decide the petitioner's tribe claim within three months, thereby disposing the writ petition.

Summary

The petitioner, a student, filed a writ petition seeking a direction to the Schedule Tribe Certificate Scrutiny Committee to decide her Scheduled Tribe status claim, which has been pending since 2017, so she can secure admission to a professional course reserved for ST candidates. The petitioner argued that no vigilance cell report had been submitted, causing undue delay. The Court considered the petitioner's request for an expeditious decision.
