Holding

The court held that the order required the stated corrections, directed the grant of a Shalarth ID, and allowed the petition.

Summary

The petitioners, a group of teachers, filed a writ petition challenging the order dated 1 July 2026 issued by the High Court. They sought specific textual corrections in paragraphs two and three of that order. The court examined whether such corrections were warranted and whether the Deputy Director of Education, Pune, should be directed to grant a Shalarth ID to the petitioners after verifying the absence of fraud or misrepresentation. Finding that the corrections were necessary, the court ordered the insertion and substitution of the specified words. It also directed the Deputy Director to grant the Shalarth ID within two weeks, providing liberty to the petitioners to seek further relief if delayed. Consequently, the petition was allowed and disposed of in the terms specified.
