No adverse action shall be taken against the petitioner solely for non‑production of the caste validity certificate for six months or until the Scrutiny Committee decides the claim.
Summary
The petitioner, Abhijeet Jalindar Rajle, was appointed as Electrical Assistant by respondent No.3 on 10 February 2026, subject to submitting a caste validity certificate within six months. The petitioner argued that obtaining the certificate was beyond his control as his claim was pending validation before the Scrutiny Committee. He requested that the Committee decide his claim promptly and that no adverse action be taken against him for not producing the certificate within the stipulated period. The Court directed that for a period of six months, or until the Committee decides, no adverse action shall be taken against the petitioner solely on the basis of non‑production of the validity certificate. Accordingly, the writ petition was disposed.

01. The claim of the petitioner is pending validation before
respondent No.2 Committee. Now he is appointed by respondent No.3
as Electrical Assistant by order dated 10.02.2026. A condition is put in
the appointment order that the petitioner has to submit caste validity
certificate within six months from the date of order. Learned Advocate
for the petitioner submits that it is not in the hands of the petitioner to
get the validity certificate issued within the stipulated period. He is
already before the Scrutiny Committee.
02. Considering the above, the Scrutiny Committee is requested
to decide the claim of the petitioner as early as possible and preferably
within six months from today.
