SHOBHA NARENDRA PAINTER ALIAS UMRAOversusTAHSILDAR, MURUD JANJIRA THR GOVERNMENT OF PLEADER AND ORS

Decided
Disposal
Disposed off as Withdrawn

Holding

The petition is disposed of as the petitioner is permitted to withdraw it in view of the available revision remedy.

Summary

The petitioner, Shobha Narendra Painter, filed a writ petition in the Bombay High Court seeking relief against the respondents, including the Tahsildar, Murud Janjira. The petitioner’s counsel indicated uncertainty about whether a revision application had been filed before the Sub‑Divisional Officer. The Court, recalling its earlier order dated 23 February 2026, permitted the petitioner to withdraw the writ petition because an alternative remedy of revision before the Sub‑Divisional Officer was available, and it extended the interim stay order until the date of the hearing. Since the petition had been allowed to be withdrawn, the Court found no further matters to adjudicate. Consequently, the writ petition was formally disposed of, and no pending applications remained.
