Holding

A bail application is infructuous and must be dismissed when the accused has already been acquitted.

Summary

The applicant, Arjun Singh, filed a bail application after the trial had concluded and he had been acquitted. The applicant's counsel argued that the bail petition was now moot. The State, represented by the Additional Government Advocate, raised no objection. The Court examined whether a bail application could be entertained post‑acquittal and held that it was infructuous.
