Allahabad High Court

SMT SARASVATI YADAVversusMANISH KUMAR VERMA

Decided

Holding

The Court did not find contempt but ordered the opposite party to comply with the fresh order and disposed of the contempt application.

Summary

Smt. Sarasvati Yadav filed a contempt application alleging that Manish Kumar Verma willfully disobeyed the order dated 22‑01‑2026 issued in Writ C No. 786 of 2026. The High Court noted that the earlier order of 02‑07‑2025 had been set aside, and therefore the opposite party was required to pass a fresh order after hearing the applicant’s claim. The Court directed the applicant to submit the fresh order, the undated application dated 04‑02‑2026, and supporting documents within two weeks. Upon receipt, the opposite party must decide the claim by the end of July 2026 and send a copy of the decision to the applicant by registered post and telephone. The Court disposed of the contempt application, warning that a further contempt proceeding may be instituted if compliance is not achieved.
