Summary
The petitioner, Riyajuddin Alias Raju, filed a revision petition in the Allahabad High Court challenging an order dated 24 April 2023 passed by the Additional Principal Judge of the Family Court, Deoria, in a Section 125 Cr.P.C. maintenance proceeding. The impugned order had unilaterally accepted the application of the opposite parties and directed the petitioner to pay monthly maintenance amounts of Rs.6,000, Rs.3,000, Rs.3,000 and Rs.3,000 to four different respondents. During the hearing, the petitioner’s counsel chose not to press the revision and instead sought to withdraw the petition. The Court noted the withdrawal request and, without further examination of the merits, dismissed the revision petition as withdrawn. Consequently, the original maintenance order remains in force.
