Summary
The applicant, Amit Kumar Singh, filed an application under Section 529 of the Criminal Procedure Code seeking an expeditious disposal of a pending criminal complaint (Case No. 89 of 2022) filed under Section 392 IPC. The applicant argued that the case had been pending for an unduly long period without reaching a conclusion. The State, represented by the Additional Government Advocate, raised no objection to the applicant's request. The High Court, after hearing counsel, directed the trial court to decide the matter within six months of the order, provided there is no legal impediment, and to avoid unnecessary adjournments. The application was subsequently disposed of with the said direction.
