Allahabad High Court

PRINCE YADAVversusSTATE OF U.P.

Decided

Holding

The court ordered that the applicant may apply for regular bail within four weeks and that no coercive action be taken against him during that period.

Summary

The applicant, Prince Yadav, filed an anticipatory bail application under Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code. The counsel requested that the applicant be allowed to approach the regular bail court and that his interests be protected temporarily. The opposing counsel raised no objection. The court directed that the applicant must appear before the concerned court within four weeks to apply for regular bail in the specified case, and that his bail application be decided expeditiously without being influenced by any prior rejection of anticipatory bail. Additionally, the court ordered that no coercive action be taken against the applicant for the next four weeks. The anticipatory bail application was therefore disposed of with these directions.
