Allahabad High Court

HAFIZ ULLAHversusABDUL RASHID

Decided

Holding

The appeal is disposed of because the parties have entered into a court‑verified compromise.

Summary

In Second Appeal No. 570 of 1994 before the Allahabad High Court, appellant Hafiz Ullah challenged a decree against him. The parties subsequently entered into a compromise, which was verified by the trial court and a report was filed on 19 January 2026. The appellant's counsel submitted the compromise report, and the respondent's counsel raised no objection. The court, noting the parties' settlement, held that there was no longer any dispute to be adjudicated. Consequently, the appeal was disposed of on the basis of the compromise.
