Summary
Petitioner Km Nimisha Saxena filed a writ petition (Writ‑A No. 15994 of 2024) challenging an order of transfer dated 23 August 2024 issued by the State of Uttar Pradesh. The petitioner contended that a new transfer policy had been introduced by the State Government and that she would apply for her transfer under this new policy, seeking to have the present petition dismissed as withdrawn. The learned counsel for the respondent opposed the withdrawal. The Hon’ble Justice Prakash Padia dismissed the petition as withdrawn, granting the petitioner liberty to apply for her transfer in accordance with the new policy. No substantive merits of the transfer order were examined.
