Allahabad High Court

RAJVIR SINGHversusCANARA BANK, HEAD OFFICER AND 3 OTHERS

Decided

Holding

The writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn, with liberty to file a fresh petition.

Summary

Petitioner Rajvir Singh filed a writ petition (Writ-A No. 16158 of 2026) before the Allahabad High Court challenging actions of Canara Bank and others. During the hearing, the petitioner's counsel, Rahul Jain, requested that the petition be dismissed as withdrawn, seeking liberty to file a fresh petition with more detailed particulars. The respondents' counsel, Krishna Mohan Asthana, raised no objection to this request. The Court considered the submission and found no impediment to allowing the withdrawal. Consequently, the Court dismissed the petition as withdrawn and granted the petitioner liberty to file a new writ petition. The order was pronounced on October 1, 2026 by Justice Dinesh Pathak.
