AMIT KUMARversusSTATE OF U.P. AND 4 OTHERS

The writ petition is dismissed as not pressed, with liberty to move a fresh application.

Summary

The petitioner sought relief against the order, while the respondent upheld the rejection. During hearing, the petitioner’s counsel requested that the petition be dismissed on the ground that it was not pressed, and that the petitioner be allowed to file a fresh application under the newly issued transfer policy of the State Government. The Court held that the petition was indeed not pressed and granted liberty to move a fresh application. Consequently, the writ petition was dismissed.
