Allahabad High Court

PRATAP SINGHversusBOARD OF REVENUE UP AND 4 OTHERS

Decided

Holding

The Court directed the Board of Revenue to decide the pending review application within three months, disposing of the writ petition.

Summary

Petitioner Pratap Singh filed a writ petition seeking a court direction to the Board of Revenue (respondent No.1) to decide Review Application No. 2079 of 2023 within a fixed period. The review application challenged the Board's order dated 04‑07‑2023 which had allowed a revision filed by the contesting respondents. The petitioner alleged that the review has been pending since 24‑07‑2023 and is being repeatedly adjourned without justification. The Court examined the petitioner's prayer and the circumstances of the delay. It directed the Board of Revenue to decide the pending review application within three months of receiving a certified copy of the order, thereby disposing of the writ petition.
