Allahabad High Court

YASHIKA BABBAR AND ANOTHERversusSTATE OF U.P. AND 4 OTHERS

Decided

Holding

The petition is dismissed as the petitioners have withdrawn, with liberty to file a fresh petition.

Summary

The petitioners Yashika Babbar and another filed a writ petition under Article 226 seeking a mandamus directing the fourth respondent not to interfere with their peaceful conjugal life and the second respondent to ensure their safety and security. The petition was argued before the High Court of Allahabad. During the hearing, the petitioner's counsel indicated that the petitioners no longer wished to pursue the writ. Consequently, the court dismissed the petition, granting the petitioners liberty to file a fresh petition if they choose. No substantive discussion on the merits of the relief was made.
