Allahabad High Court
M/S AGRAWAL GRAVURE PRIVATE LIMITEDversusUP ZONAL MICRO AND SMALL ENTERPRISES AND ANOTHER
- Decided
Holding
The Court granted interim mandamus, directing the respondent to decide the MSME application within four months.
Summary
The petitioner, M/s Agrawal Gravure Private Limited, filed a writ petition under Article 226 seeking an interim mandamus directing the U.P. Zonal Micro and Small Enterprises Facilitation Council to decide its MSME application (UDYAM‑UP‑54‑0001685/S/00022 of 2025) under Section 18 of the Delayed Payment to MSE of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Act, 2006. The State’s standing counsel raised no objection to the direction. The Court examined whether it could compel the respondent to adjudicate the application within a stipulated period. Finding that the petitioner was entitled to a time‑bound decision, the Court ordered the respondent to dispose of the application within four months of the certified copy of the order, after giving a full hearing. The petition was consequently disposed with the said direction.
