Allahabad High Court

SANDEEP SINGHversusSTATE OF UP AND 2 OTHERS

Decided

Holding

The writ petition is dismissed as not pressed.

Summary

The petitioner challenged an order dated 12 January 2026 issued by the Additional Commissioner (Administration) of Kannauj. During the hearing, the petitioner’s counsel requested that the writ petition be dismissed on the ground that it was not pressed. The respondent counsel, including the Standing Counsel and other learned counsel, did not oppose this prayer. The court considered the lack of opposition and the petitioner's request. Consequently, the court allowed the prayer and dismissed the writ petition as not pressed. The dismissal effectively upholds the original administrative order.
