SHIVBHADRASINH KANAKSINH ZALAversusTHE STATE OF GUJARAT

Disposal
28-REJECTED @ ADM.STAGE

Holding

The High Court rejected the applicant’s temporary bail application.

Summary

Shivbhadrasinh Kanaksinh Zala applied for a 30‑day temporary bail, claiming he needed to provide financial assistance to his family. The applicant is alleged to be facing two separate criminal offences, one in Meerut and another in Maharashtra, and his father is a retired caretaker of the family. The High Court examined the earlier order of the Sessions Judge (CR.MA No. 784 of 2026) and the jail remarks. Considering the seriousness of the pending charges and the lack of a compelling reason, the Court found no basis to grant bail. Consequently, the application for temporary bail was rejected and the order was directed to be communicated to the jail authority.

                                              Date : 20/04/2026

                                                 ORAL ORDER

    1. This application, through jail, has been preferred by the
applicant seeking temporary bail for a period of 30 days on the
ground of providing financial assistance to his family.

    2. It transpires from the impugned order passed by the
learned Sessions Judge in CR.MA No. 784 of 2026 dated
24.03.2026, as well as from the jail remarks, that the
applicant is facing two offences—one at Meerut and another in
Maharashtra. It further appears that the applicant’s father is
retired and is taking care of the family. In such
circumstances, no case is made out for grant of temporary
bail. The application is, accordingly, rejected.

    3. The Registry is directed to communicate this order to the
    concerned jail authority.

                                                                                          (P. M. RAVAL, J)
