High Court of Gujarat

RAJU URFE RAJPAL BABULAL YADAVversusSTATE OF GUJARAT

Disposal
28-REJECTED @ ADM.STAGE

Holding

The court held that the petitioner’s long‑term absconding and unsatisfactory jail conduct justify the rejection of his parole leave.

Summary

The petitioner, Raju Urfe Rajpal Babulal Yadav, filed a special criminal application seeking parole leave. The court noted that he had previously been granted parole on 23 March 2015 for a 14‑day period and subsequently absconded, remaining at large for 3,341 days before being arrested on 5 June 2024. The court observed that his jail conduct was poor and that he had provided no justifiable reason for the requested leave. Considering these circumstances, the court rejected the parole application. The order was directed to be communicated to the concerned jail authority.

Issues considered
