The application for parole leave was rejected.
Summary
Mustak Alam Parmar, through his wife, applied for a 30‑day parole leave to provide financial assistance to his family. The applicant had been released from jail in October 2025, but earlier had absconded for 534 days after a previous release. The jail remarks highlighted this prior absconding. The High Court considered the applicant’s request in light of his history of non‑compliance with release conditions. The Court concluded that the risk of further absconding outweighed the financial assistance claim and rejected the parole application. The order directed the jail authority to be informed of the decision.
Issues considered
- Whether the applicant is entitled to parole leave despite a prior history of absconding for 534 days
