SAMBHAJI VAIJINATH BEDADEversusTHE STATE OF MAHARASHTRA AND OTHERS

Disposal
DISPOSED OFF

Holding

The contempt petition is disposed of as the respondents have complied with the required actions.

Summary

Petitioner Sambhaji Vaijinath Bedade filed a contempt petition against the State of Maharashtra and other respondents alleging non-payment of salary arrears. Respondent No.4, the District Social Welfare Officer, submitted a letter confirming that Respondent No.6 had forwarded the petitioner's updated service book to Respondent No.4, and that it would be sent to Respondent No.5 (Zilla Parishad, Gadchiroli) along with arrears bills within a week. The court recorded this as an undertaking that Respondent No.5 would decide on the proposal and pay the arrears promptly. Given the respondents' compliance, the court found no basis to continue the contempt proceedings. Consequently, the contempt petition was disposed of.
