ASHOK GIRDHARILAL KHANDELWALversusTHE STATE OF MAHARASHTRA AND OTHERS

Disposal
DISPOSED OFF

Holding

The petition is dismissed for want of prosecution.

Summary

Ashok Girdharlal Khandelwal filed a writ petition before the Bombay High Court, Aurangabad Bench. The Court, on 17 April 2026, warned that failure to appear on the next date would result in dismissal for want of prosecution. The petitioner did not appear on the scheduled date of 8 May 2026, indicating a loss of interest in pursuing the petition. The Court considered the prior warning and the petitioner’s non‑appearance as sufficient grounds to deem the petition abandoned. Consequently, the Court dismissed the writ petition for want of prosecution.

                                   DATE : 08 May 2026
                P. C. :-

                1. This Court on 17.04.2026 had passed the order in

clear terms that if none appears for the petitioner on next date,

this Court would be constrained to dismiss the petition for want

                of prosecution.

                2. Inspite of this specific order, none appears for the

petitioner today. It appears that the petitioner has lost interest in

                prosecuting the petition.

                3. The Writ Petition, therefore, stands dismissed for

                want of prosecution.
