The Court directed the Scrutiny Committee to decide the tribe claims within two months of the petitioners' filing of replies to the Vigilance Cell enquiry reports.
Summary
The petitioners filed multiple writ petitions seeking speedy disposal of their pending tribe claims before the Scrutiny Committee, which had been pending since 28 March 2025. They submitted that a Vigilance Cell enquiry report had already been filed and that they would file replies to the report on 16 March 2026. The Court noted these submissions and directed the Scrutiny Committee to decide the tribe claims within two months of the filing of the petitioners' replies, along with the advancement of arguments. Consequently, the Court ordered the disposal of the writ petitions with the said direction. No substantive merits of the tribe claims were adjudicated; the order was procedural to ensure expeditious resolution.
