The Court directed the Scrutiny Committee to decide the petitioners' Naikda Scheduled Tribe claims by the end of July 2026.
Summary
The petitioners, Sarthak Chaganlal Sabale and another, filed a writ petition seeking a court direction to the State's Scrutiny Committee to decide their claims of belonging to the Naikda Scheduled Tribe, a matter pending since 16 January 2026. They required a decision before the NEET‑UG 2026 examination to be eligible for admission. The Court examined whether it could intervene and expedite the administrative process.
