Bombay High Court

SUNITA RAMA KHUDEversusTHE STATE OF MAHARASHTRA AND OTHERS

Disposal
DISPOSED OFF

Holding

The petition is dismissed for want of prosecution.

Summary

The petitioner, Sunita Rama Khude, filed a writ petition in the Bombay High Court, Aurangabad bench. The Court had previously ordered on 27 March 2026 that failure to appear on the next date would result in dismissal for want of prosecution. The petitioner did not appear on the scheduled date of 10 April 2026, indicating loss of interest in pursuing the petition. The Court therefore dismissed the writ petition for want of prosecution. No substantive merits of the petition were considered. The dismissal was based solely on procedural non‑compliance.

                                   DATE : 10 April 2026
                P. C. :-

                1. This Court on 27.03.2026 had passed the order in

clear terms that if none appears for the petitioner on next date,

this Court would be constrained to dismiss the petition for want

                of prosecution.

                2. Inspite of this specific order, none appears for the

petitioner today. It appears that the petitioner has lost interest in

                prosecuting the petition.

                3. The Writ Petition, therefore, stands dismissed for

                want of prosecution.
